Earlier in 2012 I wrote to quite a few German wedding photographer to work with them as a 2nd shooter to see how others approach the different parts of a wedding photographically. The Wedding photographer Torsten Kärsch from near Cologne was the first to get back to me. Shortly after we met and he referred Stefanie & Jürgen to me as the first shooter before ever working with me as a second shooter. Thanks again for the opportunity as well as your faith!

Stefanie and Jürgen got married in a nice church in the very north of Cologne. Their wedding ceremony continued into their little daughter’s baptism which I think is a very nice idea. After the group pictures the wedding couple drove off in their yellow Lotus Elise and we met again at the reception. The reception was organized in the restaurant Altes Zollhaus in Dormagen Zons. This location belongs to the historic fortress Zons located at the banks of the Rhine river. After shooting a few portraits at the fortress itself I wanted to use the river banks for a change and then went back for dinner. They were pretty lucky regarding the sunny weather but they forgot about some soccer crazy guests because the German soccer team had a match this evening…

Have look at their wedding photos.
