Another Wedding in Recklinghausen – my old hometown. The bride, Anna, is the little sister of a friend of ours and saw the photos I shot at my brother’s wedding. They then visited my webpage and decided to hire me even though they had already booked another photographer.  End of September usually is a risky time for a wedding as the weather can be very bad in Germany but not at their wedding day. We had a warm, dry and sunny day with a nice sunset as a backdrop for our portrait session. The ceremony was held in the St. Antonius church just a few blocks from where they live. As Markus is a voluntary fire worker, his colleagues prepared a little surpise for them when they got out of the church and they could only proceed after cutting a fire hose.

The reception was in the Residenz Hotel from where we left into the fields close by for some photos. The photo session ended at the Festpielhaus before we got back to the reception for dinner and party.
